אודות הקורס

The process of vocabulary retention and retrieval depends from child to child. Some remember words well, others take longer to internalize them. In class, very often the only time the students will be exposed to the word is when the teacher writes it on the board, and the pupils copy it into their notebooks. Alternatively, the teacher will give dictations, which can hardly be called “fun” or “entertaining”. If pupils feel threatened by a grade at the end, they may not be motivated at all to learn. In order to internalize vocabulary, pupils must meet words at frequent intervals. The more a student meets a word, “the more likely learning is to occur”. This course offers a practical solution so that you will be able to recycle vocabulary using up-to-date technology, let the students have fun and enable you, the teacher, to see who is making progress, all at the same time

מטרות הקורס

The aim of this course is to offer an alternative to traditional vocabulary testing, which children often find stressful. You’ll learn how to construct a simple activity online, and by facilitating it in class and using a simple app on your phone, you’ll find out to track your students’ knowledge and progress. By the end of the course, you’ll have acquired an activity that uses up-to-date technology to help maximize vocabulary retention and encourage faster retrieval, and which is both engaging and motivating for your students
